The SC-10E Modern is the acoustic-electric guitar with an SC cutaway shape from Martin & Co.'s "Road" series. It features a solid Spruce top, solid Sapele back and sides, a select Hardwood neck, and a select Hardwood fingerboard. It has a scale length of 645 mm, a nut width of 44.5 mm, and is amplified with a Martin E1 piezo system that provides a display tuner and volume and tone controls.
The Martin SC-10E Modern is designed to offer maximum playing freedom. The SC cutaway body and the innovative patented Sure Align® neck system ensure full access to all frets, making it easy to play higher notes and complex technical passages. The Low Profile Velocity neck profile offers a fast and comfortable feel, similar to that of an electric guitar. The solid spruce top combined with solid sapele back and sides ensures punchy mids, defined highs, and clear, balanced projection. The Tone Tension X-Brace bracing, with scalloped X on the treble side and non-scalloped tone bars, optimizes dynamic response and structural stability. The satin finish, black binding, and Diamond & Squares Long inlays give the instrument a modern and functional aesthetic. Equipped with Martin E1 electronics with a built-in tuner and supplied with a Softshell case, the SC-10E Modern is designed for musicians ready to push their musical language beyond traditional limits, both on stage and in the studio.
