The second musical instrument in the TORAIZ range, the AS-1, is a monophonic analog synthesizer that offers new creative possibilities in the studio and on stage. Intuitive controls include parametric knobs that allow you to make subtle and dramatic changes to create your own unique sound. Furthermore, you can use the touchpad-style keyboard and slider to manipulate sounds during performances. The TORAIZ AS-1 is powered by a real, fully programmable analog synthesis engine based on the discrete analog circuitry of the Dave Smith Instruments Prophet-6 synthesizer. It also inherits the 7 effects built into the Prophet-6 as well as brand new digital distortion. Pioneer has created a synthesizer that produces a powerful analog sound in close collaboration with Dave Smith himself. The TORAIZ AS-1 is the ideal model to add to the set-ups of both aspiring and professional producers. The AS-1 is based on the same analog filters as the famous Prophet-6 synthesizer by Dave Smith. It features 2 voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs) with continuously variable sawtooth, pulse, and triangular waveforms. You can sculpt your sound with the 2 voltage-controlled filters (VCFs), the 4-pole self-oscillating low-pass filter, and the 2-pole resonant high-pass filter. You can use the TORAIZ AS-1 to create one-of-a-kind sounds with 2 VCOs, 2 VCFs, a VCA, 2 EGs, and 1 LFO, then save each sound and its parametric settings as a program to access it instantly later. The 495 preset programs, a rich source of inspiration, each come with a different sound and a 64-step sequence that can be edited separately. Additionally, you can save up to 495 personal programs in the 5 user banks. Unleash your creativity with the dual FX engine derived from the Prophet-6 and use a single effect or combine 2 of them together for an even thicker sound. Effects include Bucket Brigade Delay, Distortion, Ring Modulation, Chorus, and Maestro Phaser. The TORAIZ AS-1 ensures you perform in perfect harmony when playing sounds created with the touchpad keyboard or by changing the notes assigned to the keys with Scale Mode.
