The active VM-80 model produces clear audio with punchy bass and fast attack. The speaker can be tuned to suit the characteristics of any room, making it perfect for recreating a club sound when DJing or providing a flat frequency response when producing music in a home or professional studio setting.
Each speaker in the VM series features a Class D amplifier with 96 kHz sampling DSP to allow for wide-bandwidth audio reproduction. The highly efficient performance results in low distortion and high-energy sound. The rigid 4mm-thick aluminum front baffle further eliminates resonance and vibrations, offering sound that is faithful to the original source.
The aramid fiber woofer cones offer exceptional power that can be felt in the low-mid frequencies. These newly developed cones are 30% lighter than traditional paper-covered aramid cones, making them stronger and providing a deeper sound.
To help you fine-tune the output and find the perfect sound for the environment in which you work, each speaker includes DSP settings. On the rear panel, there are 2 knobs: Low EQ and High EQ. Without even looking, you can click the knobs into 4 different positions each and take advantage of 16 easy-to-activate EQ presets. Choose the one that sounds best for DJing or producing music at home or in the studio.
