2-CHANNEL ALL-IN-ONE DJ CONTROLLER
AlphaTheta Corporation has announced the release of the new XDJ-RX3 under its Pioneer DJ brand. This 2-channel all-in-one DJ system boasts all the flexibility and practicality of its predecessor and packs a series of new features taken directly from the CDJ-3000 player and the DJM-900NXS2 mixer, in addition to a brand new 10.1" touch screen.
If you need a highly portable setup that you can take with you for performances at parties and events, or even install in a bar or small venue, the XDJ-RX3 has everything you need. It is also ideal if you simply want to practice at home and feel comfortable using a CDJ+DJM setup in the club. Just as before, you can choose whether to play tracks analyzed by rekordbox from USB drives, or connect a laptop to unlock rekordbox Performance mode. It also includes support for Serato DJ Pro - coming in early 2022.
The 10.1" touch screen on the XDJ-RX3 has higher resolution and frame rate than the previous model. It features a brand-new interface, which makes browsing your music and controlling effects faster and easier, while the navigation section is inherited from the CDJ-3000 for intuitive playlist browsing. With the new Playlist Bank function, you can quickly access your 4 favorite playlists with a single tap, while Touch Preview gives you the ability to listen to any part of a track without even loading it onto the deck. You can switch between pad status view or Beat FX and X-Pad with a tap on the screen; furthermore, thanks to support for the 3Band Waveform function - also derived from the CDJ-3000 - you can see the volume levels of the different frequency ranges in tracks analyzed by rekordbox to get a clear visual representation of their sound.
Keeping track of what is loaded on the XDJ-RX3 decks is easy thanks to the On Jog Display, which shows important information or track artwork on the LCD screen in the center of each jog wheel. You can also customize the "feel" of the jogs by adjusting the Feeling Adjust knob for each of them.
Want to make every mix unique? Unleash your creativity with all 14 Beat FX and 6 Sound Color FX from the DJM-900NXS2 and explore new ways to dynamically manipulate your music with the XDJ-RX3's Performance Pads and new Release FX.
Thanks to the new audio design that eliminates unwanted external noise, the XDJ-RX3 has been finely tuned to produce clear and natural sound that your audience can listen to comfortably for long periods. You will notice that the design also inherits from standard Pioneer DJ equipment, with particularly prominent features such as the lighting around the play/cue buttons and the color On Jog Display.
To use the XDJ-RX3 with rekordbox Performance mode, you need to update to the latest version of the rekordbox software for Mac/Windows (ver. 6.6.0), which will be released on November 16, 2021. From early 2022, you will be able to use the unit with Serato DJ Pro by updating to the latest version of the software.
