Featuring an all-solid wood construction, the new and improved Excel Series represents the pinnacle of D'Angelico acoustics. The Excel Tammany is built with a solid Sitka spruce top for resonant articulation, paired with solid mahogany back and sides for a warm, rich midrange. For faithful amplification, all Excel series acoustics are now equipped with the Fishman Sonitone preamp system, featuring the elegant placement of a single volume and tone control inside the soundhole, allowing for an excellent acoustic-electric tone without hindering the all-solid body construction. Elegant appointments include small mother-of-pearl diamond inlays on the ebony fingerboard and the new Scroll-Style Throwback headstock shape. The Excel Tammany's OM body shape is sleek and comfortable, yet maintains a bold tone. Available in Vintage Natural, Autumn Burst, and Vintage Sunset.
