The headphone output has also been optimized, both in terms of impedance—now at 300 Ohms—and in terms of dynamic range and power.

On the Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen. sound card, the XLR and Jack inputs are now separate, no longer combo connectors. The connectors are Neutrik, and the jack takes priority over the XLR: if a jack connector is inserted, the microphone socket and its respective preamplification will be automatically disabled.
