2-CHANNEL DJ MIXER FOR SERATO DJ PRO
AlphaTheta Corporation announces the release of the DJM-S5 from its Pioneer DJ brand. This new 2-channel, scratch-style DJ mixer for Serato DJ Pro is ideal if you are experimenting with mixing and scratching and want to expand your skills, or if you are completely new to the scene and want to get started.
If you have seen professional DJs perform on mixers like the DJM-S11, the layout of the DJM-S5 will be familiar to you. This unit offers the perfect balance of ease of use and exciting performance features that will allow you to make your mixes more lively immediately. The popular Magvel Fader Pro is fantastic for scratching, and you can find the perfect "weight" for you with the Feeling Adjust feature. It is also very robust and built to withstand constant use as you perfect your techniques.
Are you ready to add drama to your sets? The large effect levers on the DJM-S5 are the same size as those on the flagship DJM-S11 mixer, and you can use them to control up to 57 different effects in Serato DJ Pro (including paid expansion packs). Save your favorites in the 2 banks and you can access them instantly during your routine. There are also 4 Performance Pads on each channel, which you can use to control pad modes, including Hot Cue, Sampler, and Scratch Bank—allowing you to quickly play samples or even entire tracks with just one touch.
You can start scratching as soon as you plug in the DJM-S5, even without experience. Using the brand-new Scratch Cutter feature, simply move the control vinyl or jog wheel (when using DVS control) on one of your decks and the mixer will apply your choice of 6 cut patterns to the sample or track you have loaded, in perfect sync with the track playing on the other deck—no need to move the crossfader. Also, thanks to another new mixer feature, Crossfader Hot Cue, you can create a scratch-like sound simply by moving the crossfader.
The DJM-S5 is the first Pioneer DJ mixer that you can power via the USB connection to your computer. This gives you greater freedom and, if you use portable turntables, you can take the entire setup anywhere you want to perform. This unit features a brand-new aesthetic that will catch your audience's eye, whether you are playing at a party or in a live stream. The glossy red section on the top plate gives it the look of a musical instrument; furthermore, on the front panel, there is a unique transparent "window" that shows the structure of the Magvel Fader Pro.
The DJM-S5 offers native control of Serato DJ Pro and Serato DVS. Simply connect the mixer to a PC/Mac running the software and start playing. You can also power the mixer from the same USB connection. To start using the DJM-S5, download the latest version of Serato DJ Pro and the latest firmware (ver. 1.03) for the DJM-S5.
